Things only get marginally better when the kids are grown. You still have to do all that stuff, but no one is getting you up at 5:30 and you don't have to fight with anyone about homework.

Is it the program SCBWI is running? I wrote mg fiction when I was writing for children, so I only noticed they were doing it. Don't know anything about it, other than that I've met Melissa Stewart a few times & know she's very serious about nonfiction.

It is a very traditional historical romance storyline that predates Georgette Heyer, the big name early historical romance writer. It's a French Revolution story, not Regency England, which was more her period. So, I guess, no, I'm not surprised so many people were unfamiliar with it.
