These two articles are interesting! Thanks!! I was already thinking of this package being a middle layer that agents could use in addition to letting users write their own code.

It started with just wanting to version control dashboards but then I realized it's possible to write wrapper functions. At a previous employer we made a lot of dashboards with similar visuals so we wanted to try to speed up creating those visuals.

I also couldn't think of why an r programer would create a .env file for anything other than storing secrets, so even if most people use .Renviron, I don't see a disadvantage to ignoring .env by default for the people using dotenv and/or .env files for secrets.

Hi #rstats, any best practices for which environment files should be ignored for R projects?

I noticed that the GitHub standard .gitignore template has .Renviron, but I want to make a pull request to add .env too. Is there a reason not to? Should I add anything else?

Yesss! Things like that! For some things it probably is much quicker and easier to just to snap together some power automate blocks, but as the process grows and needs more control flow and things, it quickly reaches the point where a python script might actually be less complicated 😅

Ohh I think I've always pronounced Totoro as distinct syllables with short vowel sounds like the first pronunciation instead of with long drawn vowels like in the second one.

The problem might be that I just don't understand the difference between kiki and bouba yet haha
