This morning, I met with Forestry England to discuss the work they are doing locally and to get a better understanding of their challenges and opportunities.
We spoke about the importance of tourism to the region, including environmental tourism and ways to widen accessibility to the forest.
We desperately need a railway system that people can rely on in the East of England.
Whether passengers are taking a single trip or commuting every day, they should feel that the railway is there to help them.
I believe that people should trust that their train will be on time.
This morning I highlighted the need to broaden the criteria for Blue Badges.
We need more face to face assessments to ensure we are not isolating or taking away people's independence; many of whom are older people in rural areas.

Blue Badges being issue are a huge issue & I am helping people like Jean.

Today, Iโve been in Foulden, Gooderstone, Beachamwell, Narborough and Marham for day six of my summer listening tour, meeting with residents.
Throughout the tour so far, I have visited 28 villages across the constituency.
The beating sun was replaced by plenty of rain for a change!
Today, Iโve been out to Upwell, Outwell & Emneth, meeting with constituents as part of my summer listening tour.
Thank you to everyone who came to meet with me today. I had discussions surrounding SEND, Blue Badges, Palestine, planning, road safety and speeding, social care, and immigration.
We need to broaden the criteria for Blue Badge access.
People who are seriously ill are not getting the help they need.
This is even more important for people living in rural areas like Norfolk where the lack of public transport compounds issues.

Today I visited #Southery, #Hilgay, #WestDereham, #Wereham & #StokeFerry
Thank you to everyone who came along & my team of volunteers who helped the day run smoothly
I know from personal experience how difficult the PIP & UC process can be.
I came into politics pledging to be a voice for disabled and vulnerable people and advocate for those who so often do not have anyone fighting their corner.

Last July, I won and beat the former Prime Minister at the General Election.

Labour is restoring our armed forces.
I visited the Thetford Power Station with BBC Look East to highlight how important this is to our community and the country.
It produces electricity, enough to power 100,000 homes each year.
I am working tirelessly to ensure the government supports its operations post 2027.

Iโve been outlining various ways to reduce the welfare bill over last few weeks. Changing eligibility criteria is not the way forward IMO. System is slow and bureaucratic and full of waste, letโs tackle that, speed it up to stop people falling into crisis which is expensive & detrimental
24.06.2025 15:51 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have signed this amendment.
Welfare needs reform but I cannot support these proposals.
Disabled people have seen the brunt of cuts for too long. We need a system that is fair, fast & efficient.
I do not believe these proposals achieve that balance.
