Do you love phage? I have an opening for a postdoc in my lab at the University of South Florida College of Marine Science (@cmarinescience.bsky.social) looking at interactions between marine phage and iron, which is an important limiting trace metal in the oceans (1/5) ๐Ÿงต#phagesky ๐Ÿฆ ๐ŸŒŠ

This is a super cool science story, but maybe also a deeper message for current eventsโ€ฆ Even though the light is much dimmer in the past few weeks, we need to survive and be ready to thrive when even a small bit returns! Channel your inner Arctic phytoplankton! ๐Ÿงช

Hi friends! Iโ€™m Nina and Iโ€™m a lab tech and soon-to-be PhD student in bio oceanography! My main interest is marine viruses, and I currently study their host interactions and role in nitrogen cycling. My research has also focused on virus interactions in seagrass and genetic barcoding of fish eggs๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿงช๐ŸŒŠ
