UN humanitarian office rejects Israeli plan to shut down current aid system in Gaza The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Tuesday rejected a plan by Israeli authorities to shut down the existing aid system in Gaza.

It serves no #humanitarian purpose to dismantle our aid delivery system in #Gaza - which has proven it can deliver - and put in place another that is controlled by the Israeli military and seems designed to further restrict supplies.

On Sunday, more than 630 trucks with #humanitarian aid entered #Gaza, with at least 300 going to the north.

Logistical challenges remain, including mountains of rubble and unexploded remnants of war.

The safety of all civilians, including aid workers, remains our top priority.
