I was just thinking it's going to be good for my neck mobility as I can only do stairs looking straight down.

A selfie of me, a white woman with short hair, wearing large glasses.
I have varifocals for the first time. I'm now like "what even are eyes?" and "why is my desk all wavy?"

A fluffy orange cat absolutely refusing to look at the camera, curled up on a yoga mat.
Max here to help with post run stretching. Though really he's hoping to eat my yoga mat or foam roller.

A woodland path with tall trees either side. Blue sky peeks through.
A wooden medal with Chopwell Woods trails printed on it. The ribbon says 10 miles.
My first race back up North. Chopwell Woods trail 10 mile. Over 1100 feet of elevation so I'm quite broken now.

Those metal shelves on the left are vicious to build. You have to hit them with a hammer. Got away with one sliced and one bruised finger.

My garage with shelving on the left and a work area on the right.
A workspace with a cupboard and drawers. There is a glorious pegboard with little pots for screws on it.
I'm sure everyone is excited to see how I got on with my garage. So here's my progress. I got to sort quite a few screws into little pots.

I can recommend in terms of sturdiness, they are peak IKEA in terms of baffling instructions though. I ended up putting it together on the floor to understand what I was looking at.

A tall cabinet and workbench with a pegboard and shelves for n the wall. Tools are spread everywhere.
I'm covered in brick dust and bruises but I edge ever closer to the bit where I organise my screws.

Early morning sheep on a hill looking up to a small church. There's a touch of low mist.
Looking down a gravel path and over a wild landscape from the top of a hill.
Lovely running weather this weekend. A short trail run straight up a hill yesterday, and early morning loops of town today.

Many large boxes.
Instructions telling me I need two people to assemble this. I do not have two people. This has never stopped me before.
A significant amount of IKEA.

I'm most excited about the bit where I get to sort all my screws into little pots. That's a way off.

A garage stacked with random crap. What even is this stuff? Why do I own it?
I've taken an extra day off for this long weekend as it's time to tackle the garage where everything got dumped in the move. By the end of this I hope to have a workbench and storage out here.

The phrase "a spanner in the works" is never so relevant than when dealing with multicol, however we resolved a bunch of issues on block direction wrapping in the #CSSWG today.

Three cats watching birds on a TV. A grey cat sits in front of the screen staring up, a little calico is standing trying to touch the birds. Behind them is a large orange cat, also transfixed.
I've got a TV for the first time in over five years. Cat TV has caused absolute chaos.

Remains of a fort on Hadrian's wall under a blue sky with white clouds.
Open countryside, in the far distance is the remains of a fort. The sky looks a bit threatening.
I'm enjoying living in a place where I can run out my front door and within a couple of miles I'm running along Hadrian's Wall. We did get chased by a cow, enjoyed that a bit less, gets the heart rate up though.

I emerge victorious (if covered in dirt). All soil is now in the garden, and giant bags have been taken to the tip—lest they become ungainly, muddy kites as the impending storm rolls in.

Two XL builders bags of topsoil on palettes.
My job for this weekend has been hauling the contents of these two bad boys into the garden. So far the only casualty has been the shit wheelbarrow that fell apart after load 2. I now have shit wheelbarrow the second because you can't buy a good wheelbarrow in an emergency.

A section of Hadrian's Wall with the view of the countryside beyond.
Remains of a Roman fort surrounded by hills and fields.
Exploring around my new home with a local running group. Finding bits of Hadrian's Wall up some completely terrifying steps.

A calico cat sits on white shelves.
Three cats on a window ledge looking outside.
I'm intending to build a garden office again, for now I'm in a box room upstairs. The cats think this is the most exciting place in the house.

I started my day with a swim in the glorious open air pool in the little town I've moved to. At the weekend I got a floor down in my office and my desk set up. Nice not to feel surrounded by chaos, and work feels like a chance to have a little sit down. Moving house is hard work.

A room that's in the middle of being decorated with a bare concrete floor, the walls are a plaster pink colour.
Day three in my new home. Carpet out, first coat of paint up (F&B Setting Plaster, it's looking awesome in the light), hope to start on the floor later. On a deadline before I collect the cats.

A prayer plant with striped leaves, there's two teeny white flowers on a stalk.
I had no idea these prayer plants flowered, but this one just popped out these tiny white flowers.
