My first race back up North. Chopwell Woods trail 10 mile. Over 1100 feet of elevation so I'm quite broken now.

Those metal shelves on the left are vicious to build. You have to hit them with a hammer. Got away with one sliced and one bruised finger.

I'm sure everyone is excited to see how I got on with my garage. So here's my progress. I got to sort quite a few screws into little pots.

I can recommend in terms of sturdiness, they are peak IKEA in terms of baffling instructions though. I ended up putting it together on the floor to understand what I was looking at.

Lovely running weather this weekend. A short trail run straight up a hill yesterday, and early morning loops of town today.

I'm most excited about the bit where I get to sort all my screws into little pots. That's a way off.

I've taken an extra day off for this long weekend as it's time to tackle the garage where everything got dumped in the move. By the end of this I hope to have a workbench and storage out here.

View Transitions are enabled by default in Firefox Nightly, so they're on their way to stable. Give it a test with your current transitions, and give me a shout if anything doesn't look right.

I've got a TV for the first time in over five years. Cat TV has caused absolute chaos.

I'm enjoying living in a place where I can run out my front door and within a couple of miles I'm running along Hadrian's Wall. We did get chased by a cow, enjoyed that a bit less, gets the heart rate up though.

I emerge victorious (if covered in dirt). All soil is now in the garden, and giant bags have been taken to the tip—lest they become ungainly, muddy kites as the impending storm rolls in.

My job for this weekend has been hauling the contents of these two bad boys into the garden. So far the only casualty has been the shit wheelbarrow that fell apart after load 2. I now have shit wheelbarrow the second because you can't buy a good wheelbarrow in an emergency.

I got an email saying I was successfully verified as an adult. Didn't say anything about acting like an adult though, just an assessment that I look world-weary and therefore am allowed to operate a social media account.

I'm intending to build a garden office again, for now I'm in a box room upstairs. The cats think this is the most exciting place in the house.

I started my day with a swim in the glorious open air pool in the little town I've moved to. At the weekend I got a floor down in my office and my desk set up. Nice not to feel surrounded by chaos, and work feels like a chance to have a little sit down. Moving house is hard work.

Day three in my new home. Carpet out, first coat of paint up (F&B Setting Plaster, it's looking awesome in the light), hope to start on the floor later. On a deadline before I collect the cats.

I really wish I could come, but I'm moving house (you can be sure you'll all be having more fun than me!)
