Wood is such a Jackson 5, ABC-level bop if you can just turn your brain 100% off from listening to the lyrics. Hehe. I love this album, though. #TLOAS

You are under no obligation to mourn the death of people who would’ve celebrated yours.

I think a lot of us miss our childhoods even if they weren't... ideal because that's the last time we believed people more powerful than we were cared whether we lived or died.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but news / social mediaβ€”especially when constant, chaotic, and unfilteredβ€”can hit our brains like a DDoS attack: overload attention, flood emotions, and make it hard to think clearly.

It’s okay to step back and curate what you let in. Your mental uptime matters.

Even if there are valuable applications for it, humans continue to prove we can’t and shouldn’t have β€œnice” things. We will always use it to f**k each other over for profit.

Indeed. For some reason, people would rather have AI relieve them from critical thought and replace artists and entertainment instead of say, helping to cure diseases and stuff; totally baffling.

Three stories in one week about female artists β€œattacking” us during Pride month just because they’ve developed relationships with men - which does not negate their attractions to women but sure, go off!

Y’all, I’m tired. We can’t take these things that way… so often we’re our own worst bullies.

A celebrity’s experience does not negate you, or yours. Sometimes we discover new things about ourselves that are unexpected. No one enter a new closet just so they don’t hurt other people’s feelings. That’s NOT pride. We need to be understanding that things for some of our community ARE fluid. πŸ’œ

I love & respect my community and understand how often we’re under attack these days, but please, can we stop attaching labels to public figures that they didn’t ask for, attacking them or feeling attacked when they discover something new about themselves? Pride month is about bisexuality too! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

So, to be clear, Musk has now admitted he funded a man he believes to be a pedophile to be president.

And Trump has now admitted that he gave access to high level government secrets to a man he believes to be a big time drug addict.

This should be *the* story on the Sunday shows tomorrow.

Yes, it feels a similar category to I Saw the TV Glow in it’s use of horror. Both challenging but wonderful films.

Statement from Tristan Kern de Gonzales
Husband of Jonathan Joss

My husband Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.

Throughout that time we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic.

When we returned to the site to check our mail we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw.

While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired.

Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life.

Jonathan is my husband. He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get. We were newlyweds. We picked Valentines Day. We were in the process of looking for a trailer and planning our future.

He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other.

I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved.

To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family.

My focus now is on protecting Jonathan’s legacy and honoring the life we built together.

If your concern is how someone coped with trauma or how loudly they speak when recounting injustice and being ignored by authorities then you never truly cared about my husband.

Jonathan saved my life. I will carry that forward. I will protect what he built.

Jonathan Joss--voice actor of John Redcorn from King of the Hill, and Ken Hotate from Parks and Rec--was killed in a homophobic hate crime today.

I'm so angry.
