NIMBY-ism hurts Chicago, contributing to everything from housing instability (rising prices from the housing shortage) to slashed public health services (shrinking tax base).
Please come Thursday @ 6:30 and push back. Most people support more housing; we just need to show up and make that clear.
NIMBYs are already petitioning the Alder against the project
We expect they'll make the same anti-housing talking points they always do, ranging from the selfish ("my parking is more important than their housing") to the deranged ("these 'kinds of people' don't care about the neighborhood")
