My first fandom I read fanfic for was #OurFlagMeansDeath. On AO3. I was 42.

Before that I was wary of fanfic, thinking it would be badly written and disrespect the source material.

Really cool, I started at the bottom and the first two I could only understand individual words, then I could get most of it. Being German helped, I think, because English was more Germanic leaning then.
