Living with leprosy: Firoza
Divorced by her husband due to a leprosy diagnosis, Firoza felt suicidal but with support from Lepra's Mind to Heart project, she regained positive mental health.
With compassion and support from a Mental Motivator - a community volunteer with basic mental health training - Firoza gained strength and inspiration through her journey of recovery.

At only 6 years old, Tohmina showed signs of leprosy. Her father, not realising these were symptoms of the disease, tried many different medicines but nothing worked. Her eventual diagnosis affected the whole family and Tohmina was evicted from her family home.
