On the 3rd day of the 23rd Assembly, it was time to reflect on the past, but also look forward. The 2023-2025 Work Plan projects, and the new Work Plan 2026-2028 draft were adopted by the Assembly. The day also included a keynote from Andrea Hinwood @unep.org, and the 4th WGEA Awards.

Today, the 23rd WGEA Assembly focused on parallel sessions, spotlighting water, nexus areas & capacity-building. These sessions tackled e.g. marine protection, water scarcity & WGEA projects. At the end of the day, @unep.org’s Angela Kariuki shared capacity-building tools for auditors via InforMEA.

In the context of the 23rd WGEA Assembly, the INTOSAI WGEA hosted a gathering of young environmental auditors over a working lunch. This lunch meeting featured discussions on developing capacity building of the WGEA and some emerging topics that interest young auditors.
