Going up against Val is a terrible fate to begin with but it’s the deliberate decision to Toy with their opponent that’s like. Oh you’re FUCKED fucked. Rip

I just think it’s neat that Val knows exactly how powerful they are, thus the decision to be Looser and Messier when fighting is deliberate. It’s not a good sign. For their opponent, I mean.

As for WoL-specific powers, Val gained the ability to wield Dynamis after 6.0, but it drains them greatly. It will kill them if it’s used often.

Using the Azem stone feels like putting on an old but not entirely familiar coat. Muscle memory from a body that’s not yours but also still yours.

It took many years, many mistakes, but Val does have a mastery over their own strength. Recklessness was a product of youth, but also dripped with potential. Molten metal to be forged.

Now, Val is finely honed steel, tempered by years of experience.
