It just dawned on me that you can use Cacioppo and Petty's Elaboration Likelihood Model to illustrate the difference between CHA/persuade rolls in TTRPGs. Charisma is the peripheral route, and persuade is the central route. The number of people who will find this useful is another issue entirely.
