Earlier this week I , along with @AnnetteWright and @AfzalKhanMCR , visited the library in Moss Side Leisure Centre. Amazingly busy even at 10.30 in the morning in midweek. Tremendous to see. @MancLibraries

Great to meet up with @ScoutsNorthGCT & @CllrJulieReid this week. We discussed ways to expand scouting in Mcr with a focus on establishing new groups in the city centre and in north & east Manchester. We also chatted about the great work the @chorltonscouts do. #chorlton

Tremendous turnout for the latest @ChorltonLabour meeting on Monday night. The packed meeting, held in the brilliantly refurbished #Chorlton Library meeting room discussed a wide range of issues both local and national.

Really good news about how important our libraries are to Mancunians of all ages. Including, of course the refurbished Chorlton Library. The number of visits to the 23 public libraries in Manchester was 2.9 million in the year to July 25. An increase of 2% on the previous year. @MancLibraries

I had an absolutely amazing night at The World Breaking Finals yesterday at Aviva Studios Manchester! First time for me. I saw Solo B-Boy Battles & Solo B-Girl Battles and Legendary Crew Battles.
Really amazing. The sense of joy, unity and energy was overwhelming.

Tremendous games in the Womens Rugby World Cup at the Salford Community Stadium. Well done to winners Scotland and Australia. Commiserations to Samoa and Wales. Still a long way to go! Great atmosphere. Great crowd. #RWC2025
