Found a Reaktor patch I was using back in 2004 and it still works. This is awesome. Let’s see how well it integrates with my 2026 setup.

I recently picked up an ISLA Instruments S2400 that has amazing sampling features. Instead of down sampling to a lower bitrate, you can sample at 12bit. It’s fun to get that crunch on a modern machine.

This makes total sense. I have a mix of old and new hardware and I’m so used to how they (midi) interface that it is almost painful to step around my comfort zone with them. Having said that, I’m obsessed with new ways to make sequencers sequence other sequencers and that forces change.

I’ve been trying to get away from Ableton for years. I have some success with Bitwig but my biggest wins have been with hardware. I don’t think I can completely leave the Ableton ecosystem but I haven’t updated to the latest version and I don’t think I need to. For now at least.
