Small victory. (I'm in MN - rough time for everyone right now.) My MS students couldn't access Speaker Notes in Slides. Appears to be an issue this week. Work around: Tools > Dictate Speaker Notes (or Ctr Shift S) and you'll see the Speaker Notes option at the bottom of the screen. #GoogleEDU

If teachers do a couple of in class pieces for comparison, they’ll at least have a reference point.

Teachers are using software to see if students used AI. What happens when it's wrong? School districts from Utah to Ohio to Alabama are spending thousands of dollars on these tools, despite research showing the technology is far from reliable.

AI Detection - If only it was easy.

I debated writing this. It can feel tempting, upon encountering yet another instance of this administration’s racism, to let it be. How many ways can you say the same thing over and over again? And yet we have to write it down, if for nothing else, so those who come after us know we were against it.
