Everybody talking about “set an alarm” for the NFL London game. That sounds lovely. That game is at 930am. I live on the East Coast and have a toddler

Giants and Mets fans waking up today trying to manifest some hope but knowing they’ll be miserable by about 4:30pm

I can't wait for our first "Chris Weber" ABS challenge, when a player angrily calls for a challenge that everybody else knows he's gonna lose, and his team only has one challenge left in the 5th inning.

Attack this tier of WRs in fantasy drafts, we said, and get two guys and flourish:
Calvin Ridley, Jaylen Waddle,
Jameson Williams, Travis Hunter, Chris Olave, Jerry Jeudy, Jakobi Meyers, Matthew Golden.
Was Egbuka/Flowers or bust so far

It’s week 3, and we’re already facing some desperate times in deeper fantasy leagues. Here are a few of my favorite low-rostered players you can start this week. Who is your most desperate play today?

Imagine drafting Rashee Rice in fantasy and holding on him on your bench for six weeks since he can’t be put on the IR and then, before he takes the field, the Chiefs trade for Tyreek Hill

Had James Cook over Omarion Hampton in my rankings. In my home league draft, I thought “Ah, F it. I’ve gotta get a Hampton share.” Yeaaaahhhhhh, about that

If you want a sneaky stash before Thursday Night Football kicks off, add Malik Washington. He has looked dynamic with the ball in his hands, and if Miami falls to 0-3, you have to wonder how long until Tyreek is traded away

Lions vs Ravens has the highest O/U this week at 52.5 points. Which low-rostered players could provide you fantasy goodness?
- DeAndre Hopkins: unlikely to get many targets but could score
- Tylan Wallace: played 51% of snaps in Wk 2 & scored
- Isaac TeSlaa: low snaps but a TD threat

I guess don’t try and see if anybody is interested in trading for your rookie RBs. Somebody just offered me Stefon Diggs for my Ashton Jeanty

Hi, I’m Eric. In my home fantasy football league, I rostered two “high-upside” rookie RBs and my team is hot garbage

It’s been just two weeks but is anybody happy they drafted a rookie RB in fantasy right now?

Also, we're never going to agree on this part about the GM. He's not in charge of managing the team. He's in charge of building it. Managing personalities is a secondary component. You can say "it's a leadership position," but the CEO doesn't manage the personalities of people 2-3 rungs below them
11.09.2025 21:49 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
At the end of the day, I think he’s done a fine but not great job. We’ll see how they build on this in the off-season. It’s been A LOT of reliance on prospects but that was always their plan. They likely need a big SP this offseason and maybe a 1B depending on Casas.
11.09.2025 21:43 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
I think we both agree it’s PART of the job. We disagree that is foundational for the GM to manage personalities of players. It’s something he needs to be better at, but it’s not the main part of being a GM. He has one HUGE strike against him and (a bad deadline) but a few really good marks for him
11.09.2025 21:42 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
Sure but, again, him botching that is a different argument than saying a GM’s job is to manage the personalities of players
11.09.2025 21:28 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
I think you’ll see how bad he screwed it up this offseason. If people still want to sign with Boston then Breslow’s lack of people skills isn’t as big of an issue as others want to believe. If they don’t sign then we can more clearly say his demeanor or personality is hurting the team
11.09.2025 21:28 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
Part of your job, yes. I don’t think managing players is the most important part of a GM’s job. That’s what the manager is for. If they work together, the GM builds a team that the manager can manage. Breslow and Cora didn’t work together this offseason. They botched it
11.09.2025 21:26 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0
But the discussion then needs to focus on the other things too. Not continually keep coming back to one part. Nobody discusses how he revamped pitching development. Or Narvaez/Chapman/Toro. No, they’re not HUGE moves but they’re shrewd and good ones. Pitching development might also be a HUGE move.
11.09.2025 21:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
Also, not to argue semantics, but I think managing people is the most fundamental part of being a MANAGER. A GM is a business role. You don’t have to be friends with the players. Your job is to build the best roster and build a contender. It’s best to do it without pissing off your stars though
11.09.2025 21:23 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
I just don’t see the point in re-litigating this. I don’t think anybody has said Breslow handled the offseason discussions with Devers well. It’s one strike against him - and a big one. But that also shouldn’t mean he doesn’t get credit for other moves or aspects of the job.
11.09.2025 21:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
But you should also be criticizing the player for how he acted in response to all of that and how he put himself over his teammates
11.09.2025 21:17 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0
To me, they’re both to blame. Breslow has poor people skills and botched the offseason communication. Devers acted like a child and dug his feet in the sand selfishly during the season. The situation could have also maybe been repaired if he didn’t hold a grudge
11.09.2025 21:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Also, he’s a bad 3B! Singing Bregman was the right move. So the issue is that Breslow was too cagey about it and wasn’t upfront with Devers. Fine, let’s properly criticize him for that part of it. But let’s not forget all of the other parts that came after that others could have handled better
11.09.2025 21:12 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
You literally just pointed out why there would be a clubhouse issue. His refusal to play first base was clearly just an FU to the front office. He chose himself and his personal agenda over the success of the team. You can be upset with your boss and still help your teammates
11.09.2025 21:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
No, I’m sorry. That’s not true. Breslow messed up the handling in the offseason. We agree on that. But when your teammate has a major injury, and you refuse to step up and help the team in his place, that’s on you. That’s putting yourself and your beef before the rest of your teammates.
