I’d say one of the toughest parts of calming a dog down with fireworks is when you’re trying to go to the bathroom and one goes off so she tries to crawl under your legs. 😬

Ugh. I rescued another dog off the street by my house and I couldn’t take care of him so I had to take him to the shelter. The euthanized him and I really feel like they didn’t even wait the two weeks. I get that they’re full, but come on. I wanted to try and find somewhere else for him.

I tried walking around in the dark exhausted in my hallway and wham, head went right into the corner wall. Sporting a nice bump on my forehead now and feeling dumb.

Telling people my business name is The Nerds & The Bees is worth it for the little laugh I get when they hear it.

Me this morning: “I should get some lip balm while I’m at the farmers market. Oh. Wait…I’d be the one selling it.” alright, time to start making lip balm for myself and to sell!

Someone told me about a goth farmers market out here somewhere, but all I can find is a haunted farmers market in Tacoma, Washington. The FOMO here is strong. I would love to sell my honey at a spooky farmers market.

People always suggested I should do farmers markets, and here I am doing them. The biggest reason I would say I was resistant is probably because I went to sleep less than two hours ago. Farmers markets hurt night owls. Night markets need to be more popular.

Cool. So I need to find a new place to get glass jars from for my honey. They mostly come from a Chinese distribution center and well the tariffs are going to of course going to be a problem. Already looks like I won't be able to restock my large hexagon jars.

When depression got you sleeping all day and awake all night stressed. Working so hard and pretty much nothing to show for it. “Life, don’t talk to me about life.”

Me at 2am when I have to be up early: omg bee in a bikini. Draw that. Right now. (I didn’t but I couldn’t stop giggling to myself)

A random child just showed up to my little honey selling table and asked about my bees, so I showed him a video of some doing the waggle dance so he started dancing too 😂 and then he vanished just like he came into my world.

Okay okay I finally watched The Beekeeper movie after so many requests that I do. 😂 I’ll post a video about it soon.

Brought him home, gave him a bath, food, water and warmth. He’s snoozing away right now. Gonna take him to the vet when I wake up. He seems to not be remotely potty trained 😬 but he’s sweet as all hell.

So a dog found me today. I was out trying to sell some honey, I had finished setting up and suddenly he’s right under me while I’m taking a picture. Poor boy is so skinny and clearly wasn’t being treated well I can’t really afford another dog, but I’m not going to leave him on the street in the cold

Today while selling honey I asked someone if they’d like to try some. They immediately said no and proceeded to try opening one of my jars for sale. 😬 also I accidentally gave them a $10 bill instead of $5 when they bought something. 🤦🏻‍♀️it’s been a day.

I’m going to think about football like magic the gathering. There’s skill sure, but seems like the kid with the most money to buy the most powerful deck of course is probably gonna win.

I finally got an epi-pen after my developing a bee allergy in December! Soon I start immunotherapy, but hey at least I won’t die by my bees!

I can’t tell if I get stuff on my white shirts because of course I do, or if I always am a mess and only notice it on my white shirts.

Putting together a finance sheet of what I need to make my business more of an actual thing instead of a monthly struggle and good lord WHY IS EVERYTHING SO EXPENSIVE?

I’m out on the corner selling honey and it is so cold I cannot feel my fingers anymore. I’m mostly bundled up, but forgot gloves.

And I was just saying how I got a sandwich from Starbucks once that was growing fur. (It was very moldy)

Hearing about artists and beekeepers I know losing their homes, and livelyhoods just really sucks. I'm just over here trying to make it to the end of the month like heyyy. Anyone want to buy art and or honey from me? hehh...

Got a healthy dose of some kind of form of survivor guilt on top of depression going on. It's tough working your ass off and still not making it, and then everything around you is literally and figuratively on fire.

Something feels kind of bleh to make a fundraiser for LA when you don’t live here or know that many people out here and then send it to the people that do and are going through a lot of financial hardships. I know their heart is in the right place but oof.
