I understand. I even understand too well, because even without any disease my hearing is not very good and I often can't hear my interlocutor in the street, for example. And when I'm sick, I can't hear anything at all.

Xal considers only such interlocutors his equals.
If someone doesn't have the courage or determination to say what needs to be said, Xal will more than likely not even listen, and will instead forcefully, without consent, get into the speaker's thoughts.

Xal NEVER gives anyone any hints and HATES when someone makes them to him.
He respects straightforwardness and a sharp, ruthless tongue. He generally respects interlocutors who know what they want to say and say it cleanly, clearly and without hints.

Overall, bg3 to me is a branch office of the most annoying, artificial dummies that I want to get rid of immediately. I literally don't care about anyone. 🤔

But Xal had seen both his brother's birth and how he grew up and how he was bullied by his older sisters and he just couldn't look at all the bullying and do nothing.
Xal always kissed his little brother on the forehead if he was once again beaten and humiliated.

Xal doesn't even know her name now, and he doesn't want to remember it. It's not important information to him.
The first time he kissed someone on his own wish was his younger brother. Xal hated the entire noble house he belonged to and never thought he would have warm feelings for any of them.

Xal kissed some girl from another noble Drow house. They were children and they were curious to explore this adult interaction. 😑
None of them liked it of course and none of them understood why adults were so obsessed with kissing.

Xal already lives in the FR universe, so changing the location to the Neverwinter neighborhood wouldn't change anything for him. He travels there often for work reasons. More often than he'd like.

Nah, for Xal, hugging is a much more intimate interaction than, say, sex. He can't stand hugging anyone he doesn't trust, and rudely interrupts anyone who tries to do so without his consent. In his two lives, he's only been happy to hug these four people.

Xal, on the other hand, would be unusual to be in a healthy body. He'd long since gotten used to a body that didn't need to be supported and guided by psionics, so he would be haunted by a sense of wrongness.
But I think Xal would have enjoyed being tall.... with long tentacles.

NO ONE would like being in Xal's body because he is disabled with severe body asymmetry and overall his body itself is very infirm. If one does not know how to live with such a body, it will only bring suffering. Xal knows, but Ayumu and the Emperor don't. I don't think they'll like it.

Xal is obsessed with the Nautiloids and no horse can ever be equal to these beautiful, biomechanical creatures.

Xal knows how to both ride and care for horses, and for a while he had to travel very, very long distances on them.
He doesn't like riding horses, though. The saddle rubs his butt and it also sweats.
He prefers teleportation or plane shift. Or a Nautiloid. 😌

I waited 10 years for a proper conclusion to the story, a great, deep antagonist, which was supposed to be Solas, but got a shitty fanfic with two shitty, flat villains.
Alas, everything ended with Trespasser.
