It was! Kid A took the lead on all it and it really turned out well! Always a joy to cook with the (adult) kids

We did a braised beef with noodles soup tonight. Managed to stock up our pantry in the process, with black cardomom pods, white cardomom pods, sand ginger, white peppercorn, and licorice root. Not exactly St. Patrick’s Day but it tasted good and we’re set for awhile with exotic spices and whatnot

Angela and Dolly are legends, sure, but what you’ve done to support women is fantastic. The work that we do in the trenches matters so much for so many girls, women, and others who are marginalized. We need to be here for each other, and you’ve been an important part of that.

We are where we are. (Hey, I am a volunteer soccer coach trying to build up and mentor young girls and teens.) Everything we do to build up and promote our next generation, especially but not exclusively girls and women, is valuable. Everything we do to support our peers is equally good. Thank you.

Is there humor in hell? I don’t see it in Dante. I do see it in Catch-22 and other similar works. I think all we can do is steel ourselves in hope, do our best, and scrape out our little wins one at a time. Because that’s all we can do, little by little, example by example. We start where we are.

Yes, and yes it was fun (thanks, Miri) and yes, I do not understand how employers continue to bleed their workers for health insurance and other costs of living. People doing the work are making more money for people who already have the money. We need to fight the powers that be, meaningfully

Eso es. And we surely don’t need more of this. Authentically good people who wholeheartedly support equal rights for all is what we need. Where ya at?
