what inspires me in these moments when it feels like so much is going wrong, is the realization that true power isn’t about prestige or wealth. It’s about courage. And ANYONE can be courageous.

It's often the people without significant resources that lead the way in pro-democracy movements…

It’s hard not to be dispirited by the capitulation of so many elite institutions. When renowned universities and prestigious law firms bow to pressure from this authoritarian movement that is a signal to so many others that it is OK to capitulate too, or even worse, obey in advance.

On a really deep, fundamental level, I just know that I will never give up against these clowns. I don’t care how bad it gets. I am constitutionally incapable of it. It is so far beneath me and all of us.
