This is a question I ask often: “would you rather eat the rich or feed the poor?” I think it helps to simplify a lot of this mismatched progressive/leftist thought that is often clouded in policy discussion and political rhetoric.

That’s my theory - specifically because it would appeal to a demographic that could easily be swayed that were voting on vibes over policy, that just wanted something immediate that they could benefit from.

But my point is that… nobody discussed it! Like there was zero, none, zilch, talk about legalizing marijuana - even after a major candidate running for president said something about it. For it, against it, or even just using Harris’ history as AG/DA to either promote or attack…nada. Crickets. Why?

It goes the other way too. I was dumbfounded when Harris released her plan before the election to legalize marijuana federally that absolutely no one, right or far left, used it to attack her. Why was a long time popular policy topic (pro or anti) all of a sudden not being discussed?

I live in an ADU on my family’s ranch in Northern California. If I didn’t have this option, I’d either be homeless or forced to move out of state away from family and friends. The area I’m in has so few housing options for single people, ADUs are essential until there is an increase in housing.
