That, I believe was covered by module 1 of the COVID inquiry. Yesterday saw module 2 published. There are another 8 still to come.

It means a Β£1750 annual bill will be Β£1753.50.
So Β£3.50 a year more.
Less than 7 pence a week.
How will we cope!
Indeed.
Though also much of that was for pleading guilty early on, rather than any other mitigations...
How many others in Reform or its earlier incarnations are now deeply concerned?

+ A new AI Growth Zone in South Wales
+ Bristol & London to get benefits
+ British AI firms to grow and AI innovation to flourish
+ Β£137m to drive breakthroughs & develop new drugs, cures & treatments

Many people don't understand AI. They see a specific issue with a specific use case (eg generative AI and creative industries) and think all AI is bad.
But it's not. It's the future. It's here to stay and we all need to embrace it and use it where we can.
Thankfully the government get that!

Quicker to lock down.
The lost month of Feb 2020 was wasted through inaction according to the inquiry.
Other countries acted sooner. We didn't.
We were slow..dithered. Our government didn't take the risk seriously.
People at the time said we needed to do more, more quickly.
Thank you Labour!

The latest model added is the Nissan Leaf, which will be built in Sunderland from next month!
Since the grant was introduced in July, over 35,000 EVs purchases have used the grant.

The PM getting on with the job, despite the media faux-outrage.
Β£400m worth of deals being unlocked for UK businesses to build & maintain trains, planes & submarines for other countries, as the PM heads to South Africa for the G20 Summit.

There is nothing stopping that happening.
Indeed some of the wider Β£50bn I mentioned has already been direct towards affordable home building. We could potentially see social housing too - though are the returns for the people paying into the pensions going to be the same for that type of housing?
Your comments don't match with reality.
The government was slow to respond at the start.
Many people were saying that at the time.
More needed to be done and quicker.
The inquiry has said things like the PM was not taking the thread seriously enough.
This isn't hindsight, but what happened.
Which side of Easter?

Β£200m initial investment unlocked & more to come.
It's in addition to getting 17 of the largest workplace pension schemes to commit to investing 5%+ in UK infrastructure - worth Β£50bn over the decade.
He is there and always has been. But the media are twisting everything and hiding much of it.

Potentially a quarter of a million gathered, mixed and spread out across the country afterwards, just as COVID was establishing itself in the UK.
People are on record as saying we needed to do more, more quickly to prevent things getting as bad as they did.
'Act fast. Reduce impact. Save Lives.' Should have been the slogan.
Instead we got 'Act slow. Spread COVID. End lives.'

Wow, just look at this - huge condemnation of the approach the Tories took to COVID, estimating 23k more died as a result of their delays & inaction.
And it's not as if this wasn't known about at the time. We knew they were too slow. Many of us said it at the time.

Last year saw an increase in the minimum wage well above inflation.
I'd expect to see something similar this year too - maybe 4% increase, perhaps 5%. Just my guesses though.
And wages in general are still increasing faster than inflation.

It's about how the state will and should always intervene on things.
What it does so with can and should change, depending on circumstances.
Here there is a need for intervention and also benefits way beyond the financial, so it makes sense to do it.
And the government is helping with pay.

So once that bill passes, we could be getting close to a second Kings Speech - maybe in late winter or early spring (but this is just me speculating. It could be next month or in the summer).

If the Lords accept, then I believe it goes for Royal Assent.
If I'm right, the passing of the digital assets bill leaves only 1 other that originated in the Lords - bills which cannot be carried over to another Parliamentary session.
3/4
The other was the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill, where the Commons considered Lords amendments.
All but 1 was accepted. The rejected 1 is a reporting request, which the gov says is already available via other sources.
It's back in the Lords on 24th Nov - hopefully to accept it
2/4
Two more bills made progress towards becoming law yesterday.
The short Property (Digital Assets etc) Bill [Lords], which makes it clear that digital assets are 'property' and can be owned, passed the Commons unamended.
I believe that means it can now go for Royal Assent.

Thanks. Will be interesting to see what is says.
Which module is it?
We shouldn't need free school meal for anyone, or free prescriptions for some. Or healthcare, free at the point of use...
...or do we actually need those things?
Where do you draw the line?
