It really does show that nothing becomes "alive" until you write it so. It's hard to think about characters on an empty void without writing them *into* a scenario, getting in their head, and stuff like that. It's actually really exciting to discover stuff about your own character like this, tho.

The funniest thing about plotting is that, sometimes, when you start writing short stories to practice and explore a given character, the character ends up having a very different voice than what you expected them to have.

On the topic of Layton Brothers, Diane Makepeace is so interesting to me. Despite her wrongdoings, I can't help but to feel bad for her. Being born as the daughter of a serial killer must really twist your morals, and then witnessing his death... The situation of one's birth determines so much.

There's something about the way the "villain" of the game masks the identities of the victims through animals that I find super creepy, but also very interesting...

Layton Brothers is such a nostalgic game for me... It was one of the first games I bought with my own money. It's a mobile game, but it was so fun. It still contains one of my favorite mystery cases I've read. It's not difficult, but the atmosphere of Ham and Cheese (File no. 08) is so unsettling

I was a dumb teenager online, but I can (somewhat!) laugh about it now too

Some people are just so insane, I don't understand the reason why they do things like that... In reality, they're probably unhappy with their own life so they need to put others down. It sucks, something similar happened to me in a separate fandom. 😭
