14.10.2025 13:07 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For those interested in more AI clown shenanigans π My not-so-systematic messing around with EndNoteβs new research assistant chatbot to see if it picks up on clown shenanigans in the methods of PDFs #medlibs whsla-wi.blogspot.com/2025/10/clow...
10.10.2025 18:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs close to identical to EN21. Main difference would be a new AI pdf summarizer (which Iβm conflicted about), links to citation data in web of science, and quoting pdf option
25.09.2025 18:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Most of the differences are in the first few paragraphs of their selection criteria page. Getting rid of LSTRC is the biggie, but there are some interesting language changes when comparing the new page with an older version using Wayback Machine
12.09.2025 13:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I made some checklists based on published criteria. π researchguides.library.wisc.edu/c.php?g=1154...
08.09.2025 21:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You have to click βtrack statusβ and then, if prompted, sign in a second time. It should then appear in the queue where you can download it. Super annoying.
28.08.2025 18:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It seemed to be working in Chrome better today (I usually use Firefox). Glad it wasnt just my computer malfunctioning π
26.08.2025 21:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also its, not itβs. Dang autocorrect π
14.08.2025 21:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OpenEvidence now seems to have a weekly query limit for non-clinicians instead of a daily one, making it even MORE difficult to test out itβs accuracy/limitations. Really??? Grrr. #medlibs
14.08.2025 21:54 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0As a note Scopus seems to be working better in Chrome for whatever reason
14.08.2025 20:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It just started working again for me too! I noticed PubMed didnt seem to go down this weekend, bur the MeSH database went down completely, then it was just the individual pages yesterday and this morning. Hopefully shenanigans are overβ¦..
28.07.2025 15:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Are others unable to access the MeSH hierarchy? If so hopefully it gets fixed soon π¬ #medlibs

Hey, #medlibs! People may have already seen this, but it looks like NCBI databases are undergoing an update July 26 which may last β12+ hours.β The notification sppeared in PubMed, so assuming thatβll be impacted too. ncbiinsights.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2025/07/08/n...

Guess #medlibs and others need to check every reference these days. "Exclusive: US CDC vaccine presentation cites study that does not exist, author says"

For those doing line by lines, make sure scopus is interpreting the search reference number, and not just searching for the number. Caused me a massive headache figuring out that new glitch existed when doing a systematic review search π hopefully thatβs fixed by now
25.06.2025 17:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve been noticing this a lot recently too, especially with inconsistency on AND NOTs and it refusing to acknowledge search numbers. Iβve also noticed the results numbers donβt always show up on the results page
25.06.2025 17:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh no!!! Maybe widespread glitches, then. At least Scopus isnβt bullying me, specifically, then π
16.06.2025 20:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Took way too long of banging my head against the wall to figure this out when doing a line-by-line if one of my reviews π
16.06.2025 15:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0PSA for Scopus users:
Hey, #medlibs , this might just be an issue with my access currently, but combining queries from the search history by manually typing numbers (e.g., #1 OR #2) doesnβt seem to be working. It does work using those checkmarks in the basic search
Also an additional FYI for #MLANET25 presenters that I donβt think you get any Q&A notifications in pheedloop, so be sure to check that tab for your presentation every once in a while! #medlibs
02.05.2025 14:38 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey, fellow #MLANET25 presenters! As an FYI in pheedloop if you go to the βbackstageβ tab they have polls & q&a section, where you can add a poll to your presentation. Not sure how many responses weβll get, but itβs fun to play with π #medlibs
02.05.2025 14:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I managed to get EndNote 2025 installed this week! As a note the PDF AI tool will default to summarizing the abstract field of the citation if it canβt read the PDF. Strangely it has trouble with new JMLA pdfs! Havenβt figured out why
30.04.2025 16:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you want the desktop version someone on here was kind and shared this link. Worked for me when i reset the password (i never received an email for it, either!) pheedloop.com/mla25/login/
