03.10.2025 16:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I respectfully disagree. The punchline to me seems to be "haha current quantum factorizations are a joke", which is more or less the case especially given the extremely exaggerated headlines. This isn't to say that quantum computing isn't a threat. Perhaps they should have made that point clearer.

11.07.2025 05:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Isn't a pile of patch files pretty close to maintaining a fork, squashing whatever commits are on top, and then running rebase every once in a while? You'd get the extra benefit of being able to do everything from git. You can maintain multiple patches as a set of commits too.

I am coming around to the idea that it was by far the most realistic

Reddit post: Have we ever considered allowing orphans in bin crates? The main reason for not allowing them is that a dep anywhere in your tree could add a trait and break everything, to put it simply. That's a good reason to disallow them in libs, but for.

If they "disappear", as you say, just `CONFIG_RUST=n` and call it a day. All they ask in return is that you do not actively exclude them from everything.

"This means that they need to participate in part of the joint effort to keep the code maintainable and high quaity"
Such as documentation? Because they've been trying!

Like how they *tried* giving a presentation which you kept interrupting?
