To be clear, in this scenario I was beta reading for someone else.

But I like to hope I can take on constructive criticism.
I had 2 writer friends read through and give critique and I felt like they had good points so I made changes 🤷
I'd love if you wanna beta read too!

It's something that just happened to me and I'm internally like "Bro I ain't reading all that" it literally doesn't matter what your reasoning is if it's a bad reading experience.

There's no need to give feedback on feedback because a real reader is not going to be a party to those thoughts.

If someone beta reads your writing and says it's too long winded, responding with a massive wall of text about why it's long winded and you aren't changing is not just exhausting, it's also pretty funny 🥹

For $12 at Woolies I can get a fat free range rotisserie chicken already cooked and delicious or a tiny raw "barn" chicken that I have to also cook and buy seasonings for.
