A new dependency warning is breaking my CI processes.

Don't know if I would have settled on JSONPath as a query language had I known what a mess its implementations were, when it comes to implementing a standard behavior.

I made it over the hump with a modern and legacy package, so I guess I'm set now? *shrug*

I learned yesterday that an open problem I’d been working on for several weeks had just been solved by Claude Opus 4.6 — Anthropic’s hybrid reasoning model that had been released three weeks earlier! It seems that I’ll have to revise my opinions about “generative AI” one of these days. What a joy it is to learn not only that my conjecture has a nice solution but also to celebrate this dramatic advance in automatic deduction and creative problem solving. I’ll try to tell the story briefly in this note.

CircleCI test failing when the old library goes missing.

I aim for everything passing some basic CI tests, so that things like me swapping out one JSONPath library for a more expressive one can get caught if I miss updating a reference.
