For those in the academic grant grind, this was my 5th time applying after 4 previous rejections. I’m really grateful for friends and colleagues who pushed me to hone the work and re-apply each time. Pumped to make this happen!

I’m equal parts honored and mind-blown to be one of this year’s NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellows! So many folks I admire have been part of this program and I’m really amped for the projects the fellowship is supporting this year.

Today marks ONE YEAR home with our bold, beautiful (and bonkers) twins. Not going to lie – it’s been HARD. Less “take your kids home from the NICU” and more “take the NICU home with you.” But we're grateful to those who’ve worked to enter our world. You have made this bearable, and even beautiful.

One thing I wish people understood about authoritarianism is life often looks more or less the same.
