Importantly, approaches involving student discussions were more effective than passive, unidirectional methods. Interventions seemed to be effective across education levels (primary, secondary, tertiary education), subject domains (e.g., nursing, business), and online and in-person modalities.

Specifically, these interventions helped improve students' ability to recognise the presence of an ethical issue, make judgements about the most ethical course of action in a given situation, and prioritise ethical and moral values over competing demands.
