like none of it would be hard canon, it's like anything in the public domain - free to be reinterpreted and reworked - but I feel like completely disconnected character designs probably wouldn't give you much to work with

no yeah I would hardly ask anyone to contribute anything existing - it would just be me asking some folks to design as many characters as they'd like that they would be fine with being free-use

I have a bit of an interest in the creation/use of stock assets and finding ways to find assets that are ethically sourced and made by artists and stuff... it'd be fun to turn that into a community thing with all those resources being in one place

Thinking about FanPro (Fan Project). Twas basically a big repo of completely public domain character designs made by a bunch of friends, and I'm friends with someone who used to contribute to and moderate for it, ViviVinya. That type of thing would be so fun to do in the modern day

Nahhh I think it’d really hurt a lollusc to get a tattoo, with their body being so saturated with fluid and stuff. Like, they are very Wet creatures all the way down and tattoos def wouldn’t stick, and would probably seep deeper into the body than intended
