Iβm afraid that you might be right. Heβs been awesome for them.
If thatβs true, it limits the Center options for ATL this offseason

Im honestly not sure Wilson can play the 5. If I was confident i would definitely be in on him more.
I think he's closer to where Asa is measurables wise & he's pretty slim. I Think Wilson is a pure 4
I would be higher on Caleb Wilson as a Hawks fit if he was 6'11 & could play Center. I think hes' closer to Asa Newell measurables wise & he's 6'9 which locks him as a PF. Same position as Jalen. Can he eventually shoot 3s consistently? Maybe. But if he cant, then its a pretty bad offensive fit
01.03.2026 13:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Jalen/Boozer are also similar stylistically offensively. Both aren't wired to get buckets on their own consistently. Both prefer 2 "make the right play" & get their points within the flow of the game. Nothing wrong w/that in a vacuum. But if I already have Jalen, I want a pure scorer next to him.
01.03.2026 13:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cam Boozer's defense makes him a poor fit next to Jalen and he would force Jalen to guard 3s consistently. I dont think Jalen has the hip flexibility to defend at the 3 fulltime.
01.03.2026 13:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I get it, you dont always draft for need in a NBA Draft. But the last thing the Hawks need is a PF.

I really like Cam Boozer and Caleb Wilson as prospects. Both have star upside.
I don't like either player on the Hawks when I already have Jalen Johnson. The one clear established star player on the team. Both players just have too much overlap next to Jalen.
My *Updated* Hawks Draft board
AJ Dybantsa
Darryn Peterson
Cam Boozer
Caleb Wilson
Kingston Flemings
Mikel Brown
Brayden Burries
Dailyn Swain
Patrick Ngongba
Honorable Mention: Keaton Wagler, Darius Acuff, Labaron Philon, Yaxel Lendeborg
I like that you have Brayden Burries in the top 10.
When i've watched Arizona against Dybantsa and Peterson, i've came away impressed with Burries every game.
Kid's got such a pretty smooth game.
Sometimes its even been 2 teams in that 6-9 range thats jumped into the top 4 of the draft lottery.
Theres a very good chance 2-3 of the Wizards, Pacers, Nets, Kings & Jazz will be left very disappointed on May 10th
If I were a Hawks fan I wouldnt sweat too much over the Pels recent winning streak & I wouldnt sweat if that pick pick ends up 6th/7th in the lottery odds.
If u look at the history under this new NBA draft lottery system. Its been the teams picking in that 6th-9th range thats jumped into the top 4
I could see him being a solid rotation piece, maybe even a starter on the right team but the more I watch the less I see star upside with Wagler.
Saw someone compare Wagler to DeAngelo Russell.
That feels about right
I watch Keaton Wagler & while I like his BBIQ & deep shooting.
His lack of athleticism/burst concerns me. He struggles to finish inside the arc & he doesn't move all that well laterally on Defense.
IDK, out of Wagler/Flemings/Brown/Acuff. Wagler is the guy I got the most concerns on.

AJ Dybantsa, Jalen Johnson, Jonathan Kuminga, Dyson Daniels & NAW.
Adam Silver Do Me Right May 10th!
PLEASE!!!!!
Zion has had unluckier health seasons and the Pels have had much better seasons than this one lol.
The Pelicans have won under 30 games just once over the last 14 seasons & that was last year. And they on pace to do that again this year.

The NBA can be an unforgiving league. Even for lottery picks.
After roughly 140 NBA games, itβs time for Zaccharie Risacher, Ronald Holland and the 2024 draft class to put up or shut up, writes @johnhollinger.bsky.social.

Lol Nah. That schedule gets tougher starting in March. They'll regress back to the mean and get back to their losing ways.
The Bucks on the hand......yeah, that side of that pick might be cooked sadly.
What else is even to say at this point. He's playing with zero confidence

On a positive note:
Kuminga with another solid game. Got to the free throw line. And his passing his been a pleasant surprise.
KISPERT AND CJ REVENGE GAME.
Dyson was outstanding on both ends of the court.
I promise I donβt mean to bang on the kid but Risacher has become unplayably bad offensively for a while
27.02.2026 02:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dybantsa or Peterson would solve SO MUCH for this team
26.02.2026 14:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I agree. Tho Hunter flashed some ball skills in year 2 before knee issues ruined him.

Oh yeah.....Kispert is awful.
He legit does nothing well.
If hes not officially in the doghouse when Kumniga is in the rotation then i'll definitely be on most of yall's side when it comes to Quin.
Thatβs kinda what Iβm thinking
24.02.2026 12:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think Kuminga is gonna be really good because he will be playing with 2 spacing bigs which is something he never had in GSW.

I dont even care if hes a Superstar. Im just hoping that he can eventually be someone like Trey Murphy eventually but watching him he just feels like even more of a massive project than what I was expecting.
Zacch definitely gives me Marvin Williams vibes & I was never a Marvin fan....So Yeah lol
I just think Zacch is one of the players that just doesnt do anything thats impactful but he also isnt gonna totally kill you you either
Defensively, he's improved but offensively he's limited as a ball handler & lacks strength so his value comes down to him making open jumpers & hes a avg shooter
My question with Kyle Pitts is for most of last season he got his game off with Drake London hurt. With London, he was a non factor out there most of the time.
Can Pitts & London find a way to get their games off together on the field?
