I have my theory that he wanted to go to Stolas but chickened out, hated himself for it and went to look for Barbie because he felt particularly self-destructive and needed her to yell at him and remind him what a scumbag he is and how everyone’s lives are better without him in them

that he hadn't recognized his own mama's voice. He'd spent so much time trying not to think about the fire and missing her that her voice had slipped from his memory

Of course, this is when Stolas comes out of the bathroom and finds him sobbing over his cracked phone screen

So, it's not until months later that, Fizz is watching footage from his earliest shows, reminiscing now that he's made up with Blitz (Oz used both his connections and income to find videos from circus attendees)
