Basing almost done on the completed unit. And the extra command blocked in on the next three units and the Strong Tone slapped over. The highlights next should bring them together...

I've just started a rewatch. End of Season 1. Forgotten how good it is.

After work in AM and nice dog walk made a little progress on the 6mm.

Latest unit varnished and stuck to base.

Three more units prepped. So command sorted out and then needed to Dremel finials on top of the replacement poles...

Priming the unpainted ones and then cracking on tomorrow.

The Foundry 'civilians' are a great little range and fun to paint.

Dragoons (and dogs) look good. I wish I could paint a unit of cavalry that quickly!

Tonight’s offering from me, finished the last of the ECW dragoons. Also took a picture of the whole regiment together (still pains me calling 12 Cavalry a regiment!)
Also painted a few dogs for my pillage Irish warband as well - ok, they’re dry brushed but it still counts 🤣

And tonight's last bit of hobby was starting the prep on another unit of Swiss. This will need more work. Extra command, facings repainted. Might do drummers in a different colour...

A little refurbishment – 6mm revisited If you trawl back through the 6mm stuff on here you will find me recreating my 28mm C18th Imagination in 6mm. Project stalling. Realising it was madness. Selling what I had. Then several years later deciding that space might dictate a return to 6mm and my trading a load of 10mm Sudan stuff to reacquire what I had sold... As you do...

One Swiss and one French. And a gun and crew.

The next units will need lots of extra command painting so needs a bit of planning.

Yep. That will be me moving back to Linux. Been pondering it for a while. Decision made.

I use self adhesive steel paper, steel bases & washers for basing and then RUB inserts from Commission Figurines (UK) and use Self Adhesive Magnetic Sheet to line.

Read years ago that the mag sheet loses magnetic property over time so I'd rather replace the lining than the bases. May be bollocks 🙂

First 6 Royalist dragoons painted while on twitch this evening and paired with the horses painted yesterday. I’ll get the last 6 painted tomorrow and the regiment based at the weekend.

A particularly shitty day at work. The first of many I suspect...

But some daubage achieved this evening. Two more 6mm units refurbed basing in progress. And a gun and crew...

Off work tomorrow (bar a meeting I have to login for at 9) so hopefully get some decent hobby time...
