Sorry I keep forgetting to come on to bluesky! Don't think its weird at all ☺️ The plant that started it for me was meadowsweet, some people are allergic to salicylates and can't have it, but its still one of my favourites

NatMed database is a constantly renewed and peer reviewed database of effectiveness and drug-herb interactions, which is also very helpful. :)

One of the plants that helped me the most grows in ditches, and I thought it was ridiculous that we didn't grow up knowing how to help ourselves anymore.. so I did the degree. Anyway, there is a lot of research with herbs and chronic illness because they make up the majority of our patients! And the

get on with many of the meds I was being given, or the general attitude towards me from medical practitioners. I went from barely leaving my room, crying halfway up a flight of stairs and collecting allergies and autoimmune conditions to going up and down Ben Nevis in under 5 hours two years later..

Hello - I'm a qualified Medical Herbalist (there isn't certification in the US, but there is in many European countries and Australia), I basically got into herbalism because I got post viral fatigue whilst working as a research assistant at uni and was being told I would be sick forever + didn't

I've noticed the area around Avon Dam is up for auction in several lots, and was wondering if anyone knows who is likely to go in for it? Hopefully not our hedgefund friend

Cosdon Stone row on Dartmoor!
At first glance the position seems strange, yet despite being in the shadow of Cosdon beacon,it crosses the spot height of another hill..Then the orientation seems off, but suncalc shows whilst it doesn't align now, in 1AD it lined up nicely with the midwinter sunrise!

If you have a BP monitor, do a reading at rest, then stand up. Take another reading, then another one after 3 minutes standing still (unless you get dizzy), if you heart rate raises by more than 25 bpm and stays there, and your BP stays roughly the same, you may well have POTs 😬

She was taking some meds, but not 'enough' for them. She was in a coma for weeks and still couldn't feel one foot. But they tried to avoid giving her any compensation. Makes me feel ill that a neurologist would allow himself to be paid off like that

I know of someone who recovered better than expected from an 'open book' pelvis fracture that initially left her partially paralyzed. Because she refused to continue a cocktail of pain and anti-depressant meds, the coach company which caused her accident had a neurologist claim she was faking pain
