If you want to be pedantic, technically it's consistent with "At 2 Calendar Years of Console Release" outside of the DS.

3DS 2011, XY 2013 and Switch 2017, SwSh 2019. But console releases were early in their year and Pokemon games were late. Which is the reverse of what's happening now.
