There seems to be a lot of discussion about Gavin Newsom today.

I wanted to re-share this piece that I wrote, because I have a lot of center-to-left Dems that follow me that want to understand.

There are very good reasons transgender people do not like Gavin Newsom.

My 15 year old and I have been waiting 5 years to go to a Deep Sea Diver show and we finally got the chance on Thursday!

We made the trip to Nashville and saw them at The Blue Room which is part of Jack White's Third Man Records.

Best show ever!

Just experienced a first and I'm flabbergasted.

I shared this recent picture on a different social platform and someone I went to high school with 30 years ago left this comment.

I've covered my dead name and hers to protect the innocent.

I guess this means my transition is going well?

Naomi at 50 doing her best to age gracefully. Her laugh lines are showing and she has no interest in hiding them. She has a half smile and long dark blonde curls.

I'm 50 and my laugh lines are getting a little deeper everyday but I don't mind really.

I'm lucky I've lived this long and laughed this much.

Lately it feels like all I do is provide proof of life and recount the horrors of the past week.

I look forward to the day I can get back to work on my old trauma instead of the fascism hellscape we currently live in.

A lot of the same folks that are celebrating freedom today are also celebrating building American concentration camps, denying healthcare and food to millions, stripping rights away from immigrants, women, LGBTQIA folks and the poor all so they can give billionaires more money.

I know what it means for post op trans folks and I am so sorry this is a possible reality.

As a proudly visible trans person I have heightened concerns about who is following me and why.

Bad actors are creeping in and trying to establish a foothold here.

Transgender rights are a kitchen table issue for transgender people.

The Supreme Court just made it easier for states to defund Planned Parenthood “Today’s decision…is a dangerous green light for politicians to target any providers they don’t like."

At a time when Planned Parenthood faces unprecedented threats to its very survival, the Supreme Court added another one today.

The court ruled that if states decide to unilaterally cut off Medicaid funding to a healthcare provider—in this case Planned Parenthood—patients cannot sue to stop them.

I get sad sometimes about all the things I missed out on but I'm here now.

JK Rowling explicitly calls on her followers to engage in vigilante actions against people they suspect are trans in bathrooms.

This is incredibly dangerous and far more likely to result in violence against gender nonconforming cis women.

J.K. Rowling is a menace to society whose anti-trans rhetoric is violent and encourages offline violence. Her telling people to take pictures of suspected trans women in bathrooms and disseminate them is sexual harassment. And it puts everyone in the women’s bathroom in danger.

Sometimes it's genuinely a mistake they'll try to avoid making in the future, others it's clear they don't intend to change.

It feels bad either way, I'm sorry.
