Also honestly, even those with large numbers still complain when their numbers dip/stagnate - so it's just an annoying feeling no matter the score

Simple answer really is to just ignore it

But to explain it, it's because the number itself is pretty pointless

Art quality and interest =/= likes/follows

Having friends, and fans who chat with ya, that's what matters more. And not just in a vague friendship'y way, but also profit and popularity

I've been browsing art while on my trip, and I saw a lot of watermarks on top of glaze filters

It's a way for everyone to fight machine learning and art theft

But it reminded me of old days on dA, because back then there was also so many watermarks - that I couldn't see the art behind it anymore
