Also wow, just heard abt the tic situation today, and just a reminder that disability justice is a global majority-coined and -led movement. Racial justice is baked into it and there is no excuse for racism!

After I heard about the incident a few hours ago, I spent some time reading about N-word tics and intrusive thoughts and what I came away with was a feeling of deepened anger about the way white supremacist society has associated “Black person” with this word so it’s there, in people’s brains

Thinking abt ppl in disability justice community past and present is so grounding.

I genuinely imagine them & think abt what they wld want me to say & do to protect myself against ableism, when it is easier to fight for others smetimes than speak up for yrself. These stars in my sky remind me.

OMG DEAN!!!! Yes yes yes!

Remember to release yourself from ablenormativity whenever possible, accept no substitutes for the wisdom and joy of disability justice.

Reminder to self—as there is so much we quietly put up with in the arts, in life, that is ableist by nature, and honestly hurts everyone except Nazism’s darlings.
