So today, let’s do something simple: say hello, check in or lend a hand. Because being a good neighbor doesn’t just make communities stronger — it makes us feel more connected too.
Only 1 in 4 Americans say they know most of their neighbors, while 1 in 10 don’t know any.
44% say they trust their neighbors, but even more say they’re willing to be a good neighbor:
• 76% would bring in mail or water plants
• 67% would help a sick neighbor

I spent 12 years as a CNN journalist covering Congress and national politics before being elected to the Council. I saw firsthand how essential a free press is to holding people accountable.
What Donald Trump did to Jimmy Kimmel and is doing to our First Amendment is scary and dangerous.
On Monday at 9:30am the Transportation and Environment Committee will receive a status update on the Purple Line construction.

We raised $92,548 in small dollar donors. No donation was more than $500. 94% of them were Montgomery County residents.
This qualifies us for $375,540 in public financing matching funds.
