From 25 July, for better or worse, you'll still be able to read my blog – and, I assume, practically any blog – without having to prove you're over 18.

Do I or you know anyone in the UK using a ViaSat satellite internet service like www.freedomsat.co.uk/viasat-satel... ? I'm trying to gauge how good in reality its “Standard Data” speed is when we inevitably use up the small amount of monthly “Priority Data” provided on a plan.

This I take to be as bad a juncture as ever I observed.

The only other time I've heard Loyle Carner was a previous #glastonbury and I've enjoyed this year's headline set too. I should try listening more frequently.

Not perfect but www.glastonburyplanner.co.uk is a practical way to see what's on when, good for planning TV watching. Even when it works the official #Glastonbury website is terrible for this.

Turns out I had something blocking the cookie consent pop-up and that meant the entire site silently stopped working. I now merely blame everyone who's ever had anything to do with this stupid web we've ended up with. Comments about JS still stand.

Ahh, that was it. I thought I'd disabled them and yet... never had a site do that before. 🙄

Using JS to override default behaviour/elements (scrolling, disclosures) should require the signatures of a high court judge, GP, Member of Parliament, trade union officer, Nobel Prize winner, a current or previous astronaut, and a chiropodist. And require three keys to be turned simultaneously.

It's OK, other pages don't scroll either. Why would you bother testing that your festival's website's pages are scrollable? "Works on my machine, ship it!" I wonder who made it.

I stand corrected: the page also doesn't scroll when viewed in Firefox or Safari on my macOS (works in Chrome). If you turn off JS then it'll scroll but you can't open any of the stages to view the acts, even though they're all there in the page's HTML.
