Very few humans can "make peace" with mass death. Most can only become numb to it.
They numb their humanity to the point of deleting it, and mistake it for being superhuman.
They look down on everyone else, then annihilate, projecting their self-annihilation onto everyone and everything else.

The heartless aren't born, they're made,
not in laboratories, but in homes, in hallways, in
entirely unremarkable rooms where love is missing or
twisted or dangled just out of reach until finally,
loveless,
they grow into a fist that enters every room searching for
something to destroy

Men: Are you really a feminist? Here's how to tell.
