After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

The reality is that 2024 was a fundamental test of the moral character of the nation and we failed spectacularly. We’re living with the consequences now. Maybe we improve. I hope so.

For the record, “affordability” is not a new word and groceries are not “old fashioned.” We still can’t afford groceries in the modern era!

A thing I think we miss is that the “authoritarian playbook” isn’t a set of instructions authoritarians are reading from, it’s just a list of things that happen when narcissists get too much power.

Don't just say it's unconstitutional, remind people that the constitution is full of very good ideas designed to prevent authoritarianism, and most people who want to ignore it want that specifically because they are authoritarian.

Christian Nationalists always have their eye on what is important--shoving a religion they don't even follow down your throat, while they idly sit back and let your plane crash.

So this tornado here that hit Somerset tonight was issued as a PDS tornado warning after it had gone through Somerset because NWS Jackson KY is short meteorologists. It was never upgraded to a tornado emergency because there are no lead meteorologists at that office with the authority to issue it.
