In fairness (but not excusing it) to supporters in most stadiums, they see no action replay of such very fast incidents that happen quite a distance away, so it’s difficult to appreciate the severity of such a dangerous ‘tackle’.

Even you have to admit, this is a huge error to make by the officials who had to be instructed by Munster’s Niall O’Donovan on the sidelines who had to correct them.

The ref also allowed this ‘tap’ for the penalty that led to Bulls only try, completely wrong.

And those 2 errors in one season could knock Munster out of the Champions Cup, and result in a huge negative financial impact.

And correct me if I’m wrong, but this penalty tap should not have been permitted either? Led to the Bulls try.

With how tight this League in ending, this ref’ing error could have huge impact on Munster finishing or missing a Top-8, because the ref was out of his depth.

He’s developed the off-ball game style at Leinster, so if the majority of your Ire players play that game strategy at club, it’s an easy transition at Ireland level.

They have looked very limited against their far more experienced France team, but some of the Irish defence has been very good.

They’ve had a brilliant run of 6Ns campaigns since 2019, 3 x GS’s, but the Top14 experience in that French team is incredible compared to our academy cubs.

Is this a relatively young U20’s side, will many be on it next season as well?

We’ve not had a chance to catch our breath so far, France look powerful.
