God views dishonesty as an abomination and finds people of integrity delightful. The consequences of dishonesty, jeopardizes relationships and community trust. We as a people, must make a commitment to honesty, not just as a moral ideal, but as a practice that aligns with God 🙏.

In order to be a disciple, we must be willing to give up everything for Jesus. Following Jesus, requires commitment & faithfulness. All believers are called to acknowledge the lordship of Christ & show Him preference over all earthly ties. There is a promise through sacrificing.

Becoming a disciple of Christ does not make us immune to life's trials & tribulations. God's ultimate purpose for us is to grow more & more into the image of His Son. We must be careful never to make excuses for "trials & tribulations," if it is the result of our wrongdoing. #Trials

The dawning of every new day could be seen as a symbol of God's light breaking through the darkness and His mercy overcoming our troubles. Every morning demonstrates God’s grace, a new beginning in which gloom must flee. We need look no further than the breath in our lungs 🙌 ❤️. #God'sfaithfulness

We live in a fallen world full of sin with heartache & pain. We witness natural disasters, staggering loss, injustice, & inhumanity. Falsehoods are prevalent with discord & trouble are commonplace. None of this was God's original plan for humanity. It's time for us to change! 🙏

What does God, who has everything, need from us? Psalm 50:12, reminds us, "The world is Mine, & all its fullness." Luke 12:21 says, we should be rich toward God. True value is not what one owns on Earth, but in one's spiritual standing & relationship with God. Salvation matters ♥️. #God #salvation

Imagine driving at night through a mountainous area without lights on a winding narrow road. You approach a sharp bend in the road where your headlights can't reach. You can't see what's on the other side. This is how it is without God in our lives. God's there when we can't see 🙏 ❤️. #God

It's the first of November and a great opportunity for my wife to harvest some collard greens and a few scallions. Tonight, I will cook a beef brisket to accompany our meal. It will be seasoned with garlic rub with home grown onions, red bell peppers, scallions, & jalapeños 😋. #gardening

Selfishness or empty conceit is often expressed by building up oneself while tearing down someone else. The Bible commands us to "do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves." Life would be better. #selfishness

We're all under construction. God transforms our failures, sins, & pains, for getting us fit for serving Him. Through this process of redevelopment, we build character & strengthen our faith. God transforms our lives & experiences through the Holy Spirit to achieve His purpose.

God has given us the ability to choose good & evil. When we choose evil, He allows us, & those around us, to suffer the consequences of it. Instead of blaming God & questioning why He doesn't prevent all evil, we should be about seeking Christ, who cures evil & its consequences.

Being poor in spirit is recognizing that we have absolutely nothing of worth to offer God. It's admitting that sin separates us from eternal life. God offers us salvation as a gift, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, the full payment for sin's penalty ❤️. #salvation

No one is "temptation" proof. Even mature Christians have weaknesses in their spiritual armor that make them vulnerable to a wounding attack by Satan. We must ask God for help, wisdom, & strength. Our greatest weakness may be our failure to seek God for help & our stubborn pride. #Temptation

Jesus left heaven's glory & came to earth to die for our sins, He saw us trapped between our sin & God's righteousness, with no way to help ourselves. He came in human likeness & took the form of a servant & died for our sins, so that we can receive forgiveness & eternal life ❤️.

Aging often brings with it pain & loss. Many often wish they aren't in their winter years. If we're walking with Jesus, we should rejoice because heaven is far greater than our fleeting time on earth. We're sojourners passing through this world of suffering, sorrow, & calamity. #Aging #Jesus

During times of stress & exhaustion, people of faith can easily forget all that God has done for them. When we experience times of doubt, we can bolster a sagging faith by reading scriptural accounts of God's miraculous interventions & the Holy Spirit Himself. #God #HolySpirit

Experiencing trouble is a part of life. Jesus warned that "in the world you will have trouble," so believers should not be surprised when trials come. However, He followed this with encouragement: "But take heart! I have overcome the world". Trials increase your faith & strength.
