The goal being to make some survival funds to get us thru the next few months. I’ve been out of work for 2.5yrs from the pituitary tumor.

We’re almost thru this but the 2.5 years of brain-tumor-caused disability has drained our savings. 🥲

A little mini update:

I had transsphenoidal brain surgery earlier in July, then an unexpected week-long ICU trip due to some rare/life threatening post-surgery complications.

I’m home recovering now & very thankful to be alive. The surgery helped a lot. Aug 22nd is the magic “out of danger” date

Any support the community can give us (@cpony.com and I) during this recovery period is extremely appreciated. Reskeeting posts especially.

The end-goal being that I can become well enough to make several ponyplay gear-making tutorials & patterns available for the community on cpony.com !

It took a week but the ICU neurosurgery team slowly worked my blood sodium level back up to a healthy range (135mmol/L-145mmol/L)

You cannot correct low blood sodium too quickly. That would risk demyelination of very important brain structures that sustain life.

I am extremely lucky to be alive.

For the medically inclined persons in community:

I *walked* in to the ED with a blood sodium level of 106mmol/Liter (hyponatremia due to SIADH via Desmopressin - I have severe DI as a complication of a posterior pituitary mass removal)

The ED providers spoke as if they were speaking to a ghost.

This is one of the patterns I want to make available with a tutorial for others to make. The pattern license will allow for resale of completed hoods using it.

I want more people to be able to access the gear & aesthetic they want when becoming pony. DIY is a valid route & I want to help 🙏

I also want to make tutorials for how I do veg tan wet shaping & basic leathercrafting to help de-mystify the process & get more ppl empowered into making their own quality leather gear.

Again, these tutorials will be made available for free on cpony.com once completed. 👍
