Starmer has argued cases at the International Court of Justice. Today he expressed implicit support for unprovoked US/Israeli aggression, which killed more than 70 young girls at a primary school and god knows who else, and condemned Iran's response as "indiscriminate". No backbone. No principles.

I totally agree. Emily Thornbury has more strength & decency about her; my renouncing membership was driven by my disgust, gut level abhorrence at the attitudes held by a man previously held in high regard as a Human Rights lawyer. It still shocks me, daft I know.

I cancelled my membership, 40+ years, last year-Starmer/Gaza last straw. I hate what has happened to the Labour Party, it hurts. I’m a socialist, nothing will change that. I’ll vote Green, because some of their policies chime with me, but I can’t join another party.

You know, when I read the report of the debate, my heart lifted a bit; there are people in parliament who do see what this government has done as wrong, are trying so hard to get them to put it right. So sadly swimming against the tide.

It troubles me that there are people, Labour supporters, members, on 🦋who will gloss over this gross dereliction of duty (read the report, some MPs see the inaction of the government like that), care nothing that their wonderful leader has been named in a UN report as complicit in this genocide.
