That is the fundamental weakness of a democracy that the Founders warned against. The masses.

Too many Americans are too under-informed, apathetic, or uninterested to scream. Many don’t know this is happening. And by now we know that, although some have protested in large numbers, those numbers don’t add up to a scream.

What is there in humans’ psyche that allows/encourages them to not see, or to unsee, atrocities that are occurring right in front of them? Are they afraid of repercussions that they think might befall them if they speak out, or are they programmed to genuinely not care?

Agreed. How on earth could CBS have done this to a triumphant franchise? Well, it’s not for financial reasons, of course it is all about Paramount, and all about getting in bed with Trump.

Many, many notable Democrats are on MSNBC and other cable networks decrying this bill. But their impotency is staring them in their faces. With Republicans in control, cowardly following Donald Trump, there is nothing, nothing that they can do to change the pre-ordained outcome of this bill.
