Calibri is an extremely well-designed font for documents (for accessibility for dyslexia as well as non-dyslexic brains). Microsoft did a good job.
It's a bit too narrow for slides, but not the worst sin.

I study how bacteria kill plants. Interested across biological scales: molecular π§¬, cellularπ¦ , organismal π§«, ecological π₯π, and evolutionary π§¬. Optimistic pessimist: The world is dark, so how can we slow the decline?

My home state has been net moving in good political directions for a decade.
Keep up the good work, and a major thank you to Stacey Abrams for her major catalyzing efforts.
Sorry for your loss

10.12.2025 04:39 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I really loved visiting China, including using my mediocre Mandarin conversational skills. I'm hoping my country and China have better, more welcoming governments in the future.
10.12.2025 04:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I saw parallels between China and the US--multi-culturality! But also parallels where supremacy of one ethnic group to the detriment of indigenous peoples, diversity, and plain socioeconomic sustainability of structurally disadvantaged groups.

I wouldn't visit the US if I wasn't a citizen. For parallel concern about the Xi's authoritarian government in China, I have a similar personal stance against returning to China until their government changes their approach to human rights.
*sigh*
I'm sorry that my country is a hostile, fascist location.
Calibri as a respectable font is a molehill that I might die on.

Anyone experience this too?
This paper solves the puzzle that I wrote about in my chapter 5 / future directions of my PhD thesis!
It's really interesting what comes out of these in planta experimental evolution studies

I realize that these timelines are absurd and wanting to take on one of these important positions under the present circumstances is problematic, but NIH needs qualified applicants to apply.
Please consider applying, even if you are not sure you would accept the position if offered.

Biosynthetic is more specific -- anabolism.
Metabolism could also include catabolism in addition to anabolism.
