I haven’t been down to a game since 2022 I think. I need to get on it.

Yeah, I long ago said fuck Uber from IAH. I’m taking that $1.50 bus or whatever. It’s only like 10 minutes longer and will drop you off anywhere downtown.

I’ve used a lot when I’ve stayed there, but in general, I’ve stayed downtown or like midtown/Montrose and obviously do not have a car there. I dig it.

People like to gripe indeed. Including here in Louisville where there’s actually too much parking.

Yeah. A massive city.

One thing I wanted to ask you about. I see people who live out in the suburbs in Houston complaining out about parking at Daikin and I’m always like why not drive your car to the end of one of the rail lines and ride in. Is that not a thing?

Houston would be a great city for an impressive rail networkI take the light rail every time I’m there, but I know it’s not a good option for people who live there, especially farther out.

As you probably guessed: No kids.

Is it cool for everyone to leave work at like three?

I got up today at 1 pm.

I would have to go to bed at 9 or before. I need 8-9 hours.

I dated a girl years ago who lived in Houston inside both the beltways. She worked for a downtown and I know sometimes her commute was a total disaster even being not far from the city center.

Houston is so sprawling.

My work commute is 15 minutes without hitting an interstate at all. I do live like 3 miles from Downtown Lou … the old ‘suburbs.’

Ugh. I think I would try to find a gig where you could work from home until the traffic got a little bit better before heading in. I know it’s always bad.

Like every other weekend day, I just sleep until I want to get up and don’t give a shit about the clock.

A friend asked me for a movie recommendation to watch at home tonight and this allows me a chance to encourage anyone who has not watched ‘Secret Mall Apartment’ to do so ASAP.

As an insanely not morning person, I much prefer the sunlight at the end of the day. I’m not up when the sun comes up in the morning either way. Alarm at 8. At work at 9.

I was never a big-time smoker, but I swear any outdoor music festival makes me want to light one up for the first time in like six years.

Thankfully in my experience go kart tracks are not.
